The CFD college workshops are designed to create awareness and open the door of opportunities to engineering students.

Vision

	Help engineering graduates/post-graduates to acquire CFD knowledge

	To attract engineering talent towards core engineering fields

This awareness and education program will be executed in two stages

	Stage I : Conducting an introductory lecture on "Fundamentals and Career Opportunities in CFD" at engineering colleges
	Stage II : Conducting CFD workshop at engineering colleges/CCTech's training center

The main purpose of this four hours presentation is to introduce CFD to engineering graduates and postgraduates. This presentation will focus on basic ingredients of CFD, what can be done at the UG/PG level and the career opportunities in the field of CFD.

The students who had gone through basic subjects related fluid mechanics and heat transfer can attend the presentation. CCTech's CFD faculty will come to your college for delivering the presentation.

Once this presentation is done, students interested in pursuing further studies will undergo CFD training through college workshop.

The objective of 4-5 days workshop at your institute will be to impart necessary knowledge to the students. The outline of the workshop is as follows:

	Governing equations : Derivation and interpretation of terms
	CFD : The three step process
	Grid generation methods
	Understanding of finite difference and finite volume discretization methods
	Implementation of numerical algorithms
	Writing C programs for simple 1D, 2D and 3D problems
	Understanding and interpretation of results
	Solving various engineering problems using CFD tools

The hands-on sessions on commercial CFD tools like ANSYS FLUENT, ANSYS CFX, Star CCM+, ICEM-CFD, GAMBIT will be organized to make students comfortable using the CFD tools.

After this workshop, students will be more familiar with the fundamentals of CFD and will have a working knowledge of the CFD tools. They will be then in better position to do a CFD project during their final year/semester. If you are interested in a hands-on for some specific tools and domain, it can be incorporated as well into the workshop.
