aim - CFD program will be executed in three
stages.

This stage starts
with presentations at various engineering colleges. In this
presentation, CFD will be introduced to engineering students.
The outline of presentation is :
-
“Know How ?” of CFD : CFD
Fundamentals
-
Applications of CFD in
various engineering streams like Mechanical, Automobile,
Chemical, Aerospace, Civil
-
Career opportunities in CFD
for engineering students
-
Interaction
with working professionals
-
What can be done at
graduate/post-graduate level?
Presentation
focusing on above topics will be delivered at various
engineering institutes who wish to participate in
aim - CFD program.

Once CFD is
introduced to students, those who wish to participate and get
training through aim - CFD program
will from a group of 4-5 students. The groups which will be shortlisted by aim - CFD coordinator
will participate in Stage II and Stage III of
aim - CFD program.
An individual from bachelor/ master course can also enroll in
this program.
The best time to
execute Stage I of aim - CFD
program is 3rd Year (5th or 6th semester) for bachelor program
and 2nd semester for master program.

Main aim of this stage is to give
introductory training on CFD to students. In this stage, the selected groups
from various engineering institutes will undergo three days
training on CFD. Following topics will be covered in this
training :
Along with students, project
guide can also participate in this program. This will introduce
CFD to professors/lecturers, which intern will be beneficial for
there research/PhD work and while guiding the students during
projects.
At the end of this stage, seminars will be assigned to students.
These seminars will help students to learn CFD fundamentals in
coming semester.
Continuous assessment and guidance will be provided throughout
the semester.
The best time to execute Stage II
of aim - CFD program is just before
starting of 7th semester for bachelor program and 3rd semester
for master program.

Aim of Stage III is to introduce
CFD software to students. This stage will start with six days of
training on commercial CFD software. Following topics will be
covered in the training
Along with training on CFD
software, the industry specific training will also be given. At
the end of six days training, a final project topic will be
assigned after discussion with students and their project guide.
Students will execute the assigned project during their final
semester of engineering.
Continuous assessment and guidance will be provided to students
during their project execution.
The best time to execute Stage
III of aim - CFD program is just before starting of 8th semester
for bachelor program and 7th semester for master program.
