Being a CFD
engineer, one needs to have a good understanding of physics and
expertise on commercial softwares used in the industry. The
knowledge of fluid flow and heat transfer given at the
undergraduate level are the foundation stones for further
studies and career in CFD. The topics like advanced fluid
mechanics, heat and mass transfer covered during post-graduate
studies are the necessary and must skill sets of CFD engineer.
Because of the
exponential growth in computational power and development in
numerical algorithms, CFD is becoming the more extensively used
virtual simulation technique. Almost all design companies are
using these tools directly or indirectly in their design
activities. The use of CFD tools is not only limited to
mechanical or aerospace industry. Over the last decade it has
provided its capabilities in many other domains like chemical,
biomedical, consumer product design, automobile and many more.
If one wants to remain in the core engineering field while
enjoying a challenging software work, CFD is the one domain
which can give both.
CCTech offers
different CFD courses to suit various needs of the industry. The
six months CFD course (DACFD) is designed for fresh graduates
and post-graduates looking for bright career in engineering
design and R&D companies. This course is also suitable for
industry professionals working in manufacturing/production/CAD
modeling and drafting domain, who want to change their career
path. This is a six months course offered twice a year.
CFD domain is
very vast field. It requires the understanding of fundamental
engineering concepts and at the same time one needs to remain
updated in advance numerical techniques used to capture wide
range of physics. CCTech also offers short term courses for
those working in design department and want to gather knowledge
for CFD. These short term courses are also designed for UG/PG
students as a pre-cursor to their further studies in CFD.
Through these courses, one can get a good knowledge of CFD
fundamentals as well as commercial software to do moderately
complex projects in CFD. Currently CCTech offers six weeks'
course which includes fundamentals of CFD, ICEM-CFD and ANSYS
FLUENT training. This course is offered once every two months.

CCTech also
offers internship programs in CFD to engineering graduate and
post-graduate students. This program includes training on
fundamental aspects of CFD as well as training on some
commercial softwares. This internship certificate program gives
students the exposure to CFD tools and techniques which helps
them to do CFD projects and eventually becomes their first step
towards bright career in CFD. Internship programs are offered
twice a year at our Pune training facility.
